SARAH WOODFINE

b.1968

Sarah Woodfine was born in 1968 in Poole, England. She studied at Liverpool School of Art (1988-1991) and at the Royal Academy Schools, London (1992-1995).

Her work has been exhibited widely, including: Danielle Arnaud Contemporary Art, London; The Jerwood Drawing Prize; Ha Gamle Prestegard, Norway; Hales Gallery, London; Jibby Beane, London; Galleri F15, Norway; Trondjheims Kunstforening, Norway; Haugesund Billedgalleri, Norway; Middlesbrough Art Gallery; Cheltenham Open Drawing Exhibition; Aspex, Portsmouth; Museum of Garden History, London; Compton Verney, Warwickshire; Maritime Museum Portsmouth; Sheffield Millennium Gallery; Abbot Hall Art Gallery, Cumbria;

Awards, Residencies and Projects: Artangel Nights of London Interactive Project 2006; The Nelson Touch Collaboration between Aspex Gallery and The Maritime Museum Portsmouth 2005. In 2002 she was Drawing Artist in Residence at Middlesbrough Art Gallery.

In 2004 she was awarded The Jerwood Drawing Prize.

Her work is in a number of collections including the Victoria & Albert Museum, London; Middlesbrough Art Gallery; Ha Gamle Prestegard, Norway; and private collections in England, U.S.A, Norway, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Hawaii and Spain.
