Mark Hayward
Mark Hayward was born in 1979 in Portsmouth, England.
From 2003-07 he studied at the University for the Creative Arts, Canterbury (formerly KIAD) where he received a First Class Honours Degree in Fine Art. He then completed an MA in Fine Art Printmaking at the Royal College of Art, London (2007-09) and at his postgraduate degree show he was the recipient of the Tim and Belinda Mara Award.
Exhibitions include The Café Gallery, London (2009), The London Original Print Fair at the Royal Academy of Arts (2009) and Show One, Royal College of Art (2009).
In 2009 his work was selected for the Jerwood Drawing Prize Exhibition, which is currently touring the UK.
In 2007 Mark Hayward was awarded a placement at Pratt Contemporary. He is currently developing a new series of drawings and animations, alongside which he continues to work in the studios assisting other artists with the production of their work.
