To mark the 25th anniversary of the London Original Print Fair, Pratt Contemporary launched a 'New Collectors' Edition.
Each year the studio will publish an edition by an emerging artist to promote new talent in the field of printmaking and to introduce new collectors to the world of print collecting.
Mark Hayward, who completed his MA in Fine Art Printmaking at the Royal College of Art in 2009, has been selected to produce the first 'New Collectors' Edition. Printed in an edition of 75, each print is now available for purchase at a special discounted price of £75.00 inc. vat until 4 June 2010.
Hayward's prints explore potentially hostile actions. Machines of war are depicted with a sense of humour that contradicts the subject matter.
